  25. COMPOSTION HISTORYBLOWIN’ IN THE WIND • Blowin’ In the Wind: (2:47) written and performed by Bob Dylan in 1962. Also performed by Peter, Paul and Mary.   • Bob Dylan introduced this song by saying “This here ain’t no protest song or anything like that, ‘cause I don’t write no protest songs” (Dylan). He only took 10 minutes to write this song. This song is on his album, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan. His lyrics were not only moving but also spiritual which made for a sweet protest song of the 1960’s. (History Channel)

  26. COMPOSTION HISTORYMR. TAMBOURINE MAN • Mr. Tambourine Man: (5:26) written and performed by Bob Dylan in 1964. Also performed by The Byrds’ • This song was featured on his 1965 album Bringing It All Back Home, produced by Tom Wilson. Dylan wrote this song was on a road trip with friends. He came up with the song from a session with a guy named Bruce Langhorne who was playing a big tambourine. Its big misconception is that it is a song about drugs with the Mr. Tambourine Man supposedly representing Dylan’s drug dealer. (Song Facts)

  27. COMPOSTION HISTORYLIKE A ROLLING STONE • Like a Rolling Stone (6:07); written and performed by Bob Dylan in 1965. • This was Bob Dylan’s beginning into the rock/pop music world. When Dylan wrote this song he was actually pulling away from music and was writing a lot. He never intended for the words in this song to become a song, he wrote the words and then the music seemed to follow. He was sitting at his piano when the words got their sound. (Corbett).
