Artifacts pg. 1 Egyptian Cat Batet- The Egyptian Cat Bastet was in Cairo. The cat is from the 11th Dynasty.The cat is hostile to snakes, later it became a sacred animal.The Egyptians actually burried the cats. Egyptian Frog Goddess Heket Statue- The Egyptian goddess Heket.She was especially worshipped in Hew-Wer.She was linked with the 5th dynasty.She has her own temple in Qus. Rosetta Stone- The Rosetta Stone is a stone that is written in Egyptian and Greek. The stone was made in 196 B.C. and found in 1799 A.D.The Rosseta Stone was found by French soldiers who were making a fort in Egypt. The Rosseta Stone was found in Rosseta (hence the name.)

Scarab-The beetle is known for coming out of the sandbackwards dragging its dung before disposing of it.The scarab was placed on the chest on the chest of mummies in the position of the heart as a symbol of new life and then weighed against the feather of truth in the last judgement . Bust of Nefertiti-The bust was found by a German professer named Ludwig Borchardtt in1912. She was the daughter of a high dignitary of the Pharaoh's court. She was the wife of Akhenaten and mother of King Tutankhamun. One of her 6 daughers was Ankhesenamun.Ankhesenamun married King Tut. Her tomb might be in King Tut's tomb.
