  3. The Fall Kick-Off is designed to give new and returning students a chance to meet our faculty, representatives from Student Services areas, Learning Center and Library staff, and administrators as well as attend orientations and tours, purchase books and parking passes, and get their ID’s. It will be held on August 21, 2013, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Fall Kick-Off video

  6. Professional Learning Hub • May 3, 2013 – RA Faculty Training • 15 Instructors attended RA training • Positive evaluations of workshop • June 18, 2013 – Tutoring Community of Practice • 27 Attendees (Faculty, Staff, Administrators) • Positive feedback

  7. 12 colleges in our region were represented: Glendale, Mt San Antonio, Coastline, Mission, Valley, LA City, Pierce, Harbor, East LA, Pasadena, Cerritos, and Oxnard Colleges. • Presentations covered the LAMC Title V eLab video collection, Reading Plus and PLATO use in tutoring centers, building an Internship (volunteer-based) tutoring staff, tutor training, and embedded tutoring.
