Problem / Risk Indentified It is possible that patients or nurses tripped over the IV drip stand in patient cubicles. I.V. drip stand located at bed side normally II. Objectives Patient area should keep the floor clear to eliminate tripping incidents. III. Action taken Ward E3 and E4 began to use overhead carriage systems (I.V. Track) in year 2008 and 2009 respectively. IV. Results The I.V. Track system holds I.V. bottles at high level and keeps the floor clear.
