The Gunnison Gorge Anglers and Trout Unlimited are spearheading a multi-faceted reconstruction project for the Relief Ditch Diversion. This initiative aims to enhance irrigation support, restore streams, facilitate native fish passage, and reduce fish entrainment. Additionally, the project will provide safe passage for boaters, minimize invasive plant populations, and lower downstream sedimentation. Through stakeholder collaboration and strategic management, we aim to secure funding and ensure compliance with legal requirements while prioritizing environmental restoration.
