What is it? • A remote node is a platform (Windows, Linux, any system that supports SSH or WMI) that runs jobs without an agent. • Runs just like a regular Control-M agent with a few exceptions • No Filewatcher command • No Control Module Support • Perfect for “low-use” or “unsupported” platforms • Behaves and “looks” the same to end-user

Access Control & Behavior • Access is controlled via Control-M Server • Only authorized users can run jobs on a remote node. • Remote credentials are encrypted and stored on server. • SYSOUT and Job Logs nearly identical • Log files tell what agent submitted to remote node. • SYSOUT contains protocol used to connect
