  2. Biography of Jimena Jimena Díaz was the wife of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar the Warrior, with whom it married. Jimena was put in prison with his children Cristina, Diego and Maria. More of Jimena was not known at all until Rodrigo Díaz won in Cuarte's battle and it meets with his husband up to his death.

  3. Biography of Rodrigo It was a Castilian knight who managed to conquer Valencia. It is a historical and legendary figure of the Reconquista, whose life inspired the most important epic poem of Spanish literature, the Cantar de mio Cid.

  4. History The action takes place in Sevilla in the 11th century. Rodrigo divided between his love by Jimena and his duty for avenging the honor of his father, chooses finally for the need to restore the familiar honor that to his feelings for Jimena. In spite of being more in love than never of Rodrigo. Jimena asks the king that one of his knight fights for her in order which it kills Rodrigo.

  5. Before the duel Rodrigo speaks with Jimena and convinces her that if he wins the fight they will marry. Finally Rodrigo won the fight but Jimena doesn´t want to marry him. But the king forces them to marry because he says that they are one for other one and fix the wedding one year later.
