National Accreditation Body can - become a member of international organisation in the absence of a regional organisation - has to go through a regional organisation if existing in order to be recognised on international level • For international or regional recognition; the national body has to sign Mutual Recognition “MRA” or Multi Lateral Agreements “MLA” and undergo “peer assessments”

Conclusions Free circulation and mutual recognition is possible if we have • A consistent trade exchange in regulated and non regulated areas where markings and marks play a role to facilitate trade; • Equivalent legal frameworks and standards • Equivalent quality infrastructures • Equivalent scopes of activities, conformity assessment procedures and accreditations • Structures to manage the evolution of mutual agreements, that stick to market needs and to the « state of art »
