  2. Begin with empty bowl, empty mind Light a candle, take a breath. Begin.

Collect all Ingredients Recipe Ingredients Skin Heal Salve 1oz. yarrow flowers (Achillea millefolium) 1 oz. comfrey leaf (Symphytum officinales) 1 oz. calendula flowers (Calendula officinales) 1 oz. golden seal root (Hydrastis canadensis) 20 oz. organic cold pressed olive oil 1 – 2 oz. beeswax 50 – 60 drops essential oil of lavender Approximately 100 drops vitamin E oil This recipe yields approx. 15 oz. oil after straining, and 22 oz. of salve.

  4. Yarrow Flowers(Achillea millefolium)

  5. Comfrey Leaf( Symphytum officinal)

  6. Calendula Flowers(Calendula officinalis)

  7. Golden Seal Root(Hydrastis canadensis)

  8. Powder the HerbsPour into a glass jar, one quart or larger

  9. Powdered Herbs Ready for Oil

  10. Add Olive Oiland stir

  11. Place food grade plastic over top, secure lid, label

  12. Place jar in brown bag and in a warm sunny windowShake gently once or twice a day

  13. Next, You Will Need Beeswax Cheese Grater Cheesecloth or cotton tea towel Lavender Essential Oil and Vitamin E Oil Strainer &Double Boiler Salve Jars

  14. Two – Four Weeks later…

  15. Golden Treasure Leave some herb in jar on first pour. Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze. Pour remaining oil and herb. A spatula and/or your fingers will do nicely.

  16. Squeeze!!!

  17. Then Reward! Sharing the benefits 

  18. Measure the Yield. Place on Heat. Happiness is a warm salve. 

  19. Add Beeswax Grate beeswax and weigh, adding one portion at a time, testing for solidity in between additions.

  20. Add Oils While Warm Don’t overheat after adding oils

  21. Should be Slightly Creamy Looking When Dry:This one looks like a good ointment, add a little more beeswax for salve
