Dat and information tasks

This assignment encompasses a variety of tasks designed to enhance students' understanding of data and information as part of their Year 12 ICT curriculum. Students will complete a GIGO worksheet, create diagrams illustrating data origins, and develop a data entry form for evaluating Year 12 examination experiences. Additional tasks include reading presentations on input devices, answering specific textbook questions, and conducting research on data sources and encoding techniques. All work will facilitate peer assessment and reinforce key concepts in the digital information landscape.

  2. Homework • Complete the GIGO and definitions worksheet • S:\Student Area\Subjects\ICT\Year 12\AS ICT\INFO2 Living in the digital world\INFO 2.2 Data and Information • This will be printed out before next lesson and peer assessed.

  3. Task • Go to : S:\Student Area\Subjects\ICT\Presentations\Unit 1 Hardware\ Input Devices. Read through presentation and make notes • Create a spider diagram showing how Data Can arise (see p130)

  4. Task • Create a data entry form for evaluating how successful students feel their Year 12 Examinations were.
