  26. Red Reflectors • All vehicles should have two red reflectors • Can be a part of the taillight

  27. Color of Lights • You may only have white or amber colored headlights unless: • You hold a special permit • You drive a special vehicle

  28. Turn Signals • You must have rear and front working turn signals

  29. Windshield/Windows • All glass should be free of discoloration and cracks

  31. No. • Glass should be free of cracks. This crack is so large it could affect your field of vision.

  32. Exhaust System • Your vehicle should not: • Have a muffler cutout • Bypass (produces excessive smoke or gas) • Produce excess noise

  36. Windshield Wipers • All vehicles should be equipped with working windshield

  38. Broken Parts • Your car should not: • Have protruding objects • Broken sharp edges • Dangerous vehicle parts

  39. Other Equipment • Bumper Law- must have a bumper

  40. Safety Belts- You must have at least 2 seatbelts for the front seat. You must wear the seatbelt for all components of the skills test.

  41. Other Equipment • Flashers- may be used when a disabled vehicle is left or near a roadway

  42. Other Equipment • Studded tires- are legal from Nov.1- April 15

  43. Window Tinting • Windshield- must allow 70% light transmission • Front seat driver/passenger side windows- must allow 50% light transmission • Violation of this is a misdemeanor and $100 fine
