Rate: 137.10 “ The won has rallied 2.4 percent in the past month, the most in Asia, on bets Samsung Electronics Co. and Hyundai Motor Co. will be among the biggest beneficiaries as manufacturing activity strengthens abroad. According to the Korea Economic Daily (08 Apr 2013), KRW depreciates 1.83%, due to its geopolitical tension s over a potential military conflict with North Korea, and sharp JPY depreciation on aggressive Bank of Japan monetary easing.
