  1. LANDSCAPE ‘CHOOSE’ I.S SHEET: Choose 8 out of 12 to complete. Review in class every other week. • RESEARCH & RESPOND • Van Gogh • Find pictures of the work (at least 5). • Annotate these pictures – write about materials used, influences of artists, how work relates to landscapes, etc… • Draw, collage, extend, recreate, etc… a section of one of these works RECORD Draw the view out of your bedroom window in line only. Include the window and frame. A4 full page composition. CREATE Make an A4 landscape using only collage. Cut up catalogues and magazines for textures: rock, grass, water, etc… • RESEARCH & RESPOND • John Piper • Find pictures of the work (at least 5). • Annotate these pictures – write about materials used, influences of artists, how work relates to landscapes, etc… • Draw, collage, extend, recreate, etc… a section of one of these works COLLECT + MAKE Use dots and dashes in the style of Van Gogh. Create a series of studies from your-own/found-imagery (any materials can be used - even pen, pencil, felt pen, etc. It does not have to be painted). • RESEARCH & RESPOND • Salvador Dali • Find pictures of the work (at least 5). • Annotate these pictures – write about materials used, influences of artists, how work relates to landscapes, etc… • Draw, collage, extend, recreate, etc… a section of one of these works COLLECT + MAKE Using Stephen Gill’s ‘Hackney flowers’ series of photography as inspiration, create your own. Take a landscape photograph, print it out, then lay flowers/vegetation from the same area over the top of it. Photograph again. RECORD Use a sewing machine to ‘draw’ a winter tree with black thread on white material. COLLECT + MAKE Take three different landscape drawings/paintings/photos - take the fore, mid & background from these and re-assemble. eg Fore from Christo wrapped trees, mid from Van Gogh and background from Alan Lee CREATE Using Andy Goldsworthy as a stimulus, divide pages into sections using illustrations of different elements of his work eg A line of pebbles, rows of leaves, stone archways, etc RECORD Urban landscape - Patterns down my street. Take as many photos as possible of different patterns out there in the built environment. TV aerials, brickwork, drain covers, fences, etc. CREATE Oil pastel rubbings – find at least 5 different man-made textures.
