  2. By Christen “The activities were: Sand boarding, surfing, food chain, learn about plants, map of the beach, flag race and free swim. My favourite was the surfing. I ate bread, Oreos and fruit squares. I enjoyed Sand boarding.”

  3. By Keagan “On Monday the 9 of March we went to the beach with my class. Mr.Weyer and Miss. Liddiard and Mr. Hunter drove us there in a bus. We went to Nahoon beach near my grandmother. It was very hot, sunny and humid day. Miss Liddiard and Mr Coetzee and Mrs. Strydoms class all went together. We met the guides, their names were Dean, Thabo, JJ, Nado, Nathan and Carla they were very nice. Then we went to learn about the plants, on the way we saw a chameleon. It walked on my hand it was so cool.Then we went to JJ to build our 3d map of the beach.”

  4. By Xanthé “Then we got split up into groups. Catlin and I were both in the purple group. It was fun together. We first went to play a game called the flags. It was also very fun. Then we went to sand boarding. It was fun going down the sand dunes. Then we did a 3d map of the beach. It was also very fun. Then it was time to have lunch. I had a chocolate, a packet of chips and I had a seven up to drink. It was yummy!”

  5. By Kiara “We went sand boarding with Thabo. I was scared but I tried. I did it but I fell at the end. You get strapped in and you go Wheeee! You go slow first and then you go fast. We went surfing next. It was easy to remember like this:Paddle paddle hands on the rail toes on the tail. Stand up. It was lots of fun. We could not surf for long because the tide washed in thousands of Blue Bottles. We had to get out of the water.”

  6. By Daniel “We went to the beach to learn new things. First we went to go look at the different plants. The one plant was called goats foot because it makes a print that looks like a goats foot. Next we went to make our maps of the beach. We had to climb up the sand dunes to find what we needed to make our maps. Next we went to surf the water was freezing cold. The water was so cold my feet nearly froze. It was lots of fun standing on the surf board. Two waves knocked me right over.”
