UHCL ESA Electronic Scrap BookAs the first online ESA Scrap Book, this edition has been incorporated with the existing Photos session of the ESA website and is considered as a work-in-progress.We look forward to future electronic editions of the Scrap Book to be published and enhanced each year to fully depict the ESA growth, accomplishments and history. 2006-2007 ESA Scrap Book Contributors Very Special Acknowledgment to Charise Armstrong for maintaining the website – super job! However, paid memberships had dropped to 21…but with your efforts, increased to an all-time high in 2007!

Please join us and bring a co-worker for cake and punch as we celebrate UHCL-ESA’s FIVE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY as a Texas Educational Support Staff Association affiliate on September 14, 2006, 3-5 p.m., in Atrium I. The 2006-2007 theme chosen by our new ESA President, Carla Salter-Eaglin, is “Letting Our Light Shine”. The focus for ESA this year will be continued professional growth. Unite us as we work together to radiate excellence, integrity, professionalism and leadership! The Membership Committee invites you to join your peers by renewing your Educational Support Association (ESA) membership this year and enjoy the benefits of professional growth together. By being a member of ESA you join a group of dedicated and professional people and will have the opportunity to participate in various activities. Highlights of ESA activities last year include:  Raising $4,600 for the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund  Second Annual Holiday Cookie Exchange.  Annual Holiday assistance at Bay Area Turning Point.  Participation in UHCL Convocation  Third Annual Bosses’ Appreciation Luncheon.  TESA Summer 2006 Work Conference in Austin  NAEOP Annual Conference 2006 in Dallas For additional highlights and information regarding ESA, please visit the ESA website from the main university website. Go to the “About UHCL” link in the main menu and it will pull up a sub-link for our “Education Support Association”. We are excited to offer STEM Training Classes again on our beautiful campus. This is an excellent opportunity to network and grow professionally. Classes begin on September 20th. Information is currently on the UHCL Public Folder and the ESA website. We invite you to join your 60 other co-workers to become a Certified Educational Office Professional! MEMBERSHIP and Fees Membership in ESA is open to all those interested in participating in or supporting a professional growth and development training program related to an educational organization. • Membership dues are $10.00 per academic year. • ESA is an affiliate of TESA (Texas Educational Support Staff Association) and a portion of our dues goes toward paying our affiliate dues. MEETINGS Meetings are scheduled for November 9, February 8, April 12 and May 10 at 12 noon. Mark your calendar!
