  7. CLUSTER GOALS Teacher Capability All teachers are knowledgeable and confident in using a range of e-learning tools and resources. Personalised Learning All children are actively engaged in determining a challenging, suitable learning process for themselves. Best Practise Pedagogies Best practice pedagogies are understood and applied in the teaching and learning programme. Matauranga Ngati Porou Matauranga Ngati Porou is integrated into the curriculum and e-learning is used to engage whanau. Professional Learning Community All teachers actively participate in a PLC to enhance sharing, collaboration and ultimately student achievement.

Hatea a Rangi • A sustainable professional e-learning community will be established at Hatea-a-Rangi School by: • Ensuring all teachers meet the expectations of their roles within the cluster • Regular staff hui dedicated exclusively to meeting the objectives identified in the Hatea-a-Rangi action plan for ICT professional development • Providing regular feedback on the effects of our professional development to our children, BoT and whanau • Keeping a reflective practice journal to be shared with a critical colleague • Explore opportunities to share our individual learning within each others classes • Celebrate our successes with our community • Ensure that appropriate resources are made available to progress our action plan

Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Nga Taonga Tuturu ki Tokomaru • Our Kura will ensure that: • Provide funding so that staff can have ongoing benefit from improved access to ICT professional development and online programmes that provide training and support. • Development and maintenance of a kura website. • Negotiation of personal e-learning goals to be incorporated into each teachers annual appraisal. • We will develop of an e-learning framework that will guide teaching and learning. • Collectively identify and develop strategies to increase the levels of whanau engagement in the e-learning and teaching.

Mata • Mata School will ensure that a professional learning community is sustained at our school by: • Including our BoT and whanau into the learning journey • Ensure that our Principal has opportunities for professional dialogue and reflection with other colleagues in the cluster and in similar contexts to our own • Provide the resources needed for our Principal to meet the objectives of the Mata School action plan • Incorporate the goals of the cluster into our strategic goals • Continue to build the capacity of our infra-structure

Teaching Staff  Responsibilities... • be committed to personal and Professional Development • attend workshops • undertake all tasks in preparation for and as a result of professional development • actively engage in making shifts in classroom practice • work collaboratively with colleagues both in school and across the cluster • develop reflective practices

  15. Your e-Learning Personal Coach • Meet for 20 minutes to discuss e-Learning in your class. • Set 1 easy goal for implementing ICT’s in your class. • Follow up meeting a few weeks later to discuss progress on identified goal, (Possibly in class)
