I want to satisfy my cravings. I am a Tree Frog. I question my friend about his prey. I feel jealous because my friend got to the fly first. I touch the lime green leaves. I worry that I will get eaten by a vine snake. I cry because I am so afraid of snakes. I understand that someday I might get eaten by a snake. I am a Tree Frog. I say CROAK! I believe that I jump and touch the sky. I dream of relaxing at the pond. I try to hop but I can’t. I hope that I will not die. I was once a baby. But now I am an adult frog. I am a Tree Frog.

But now I am a frog that can have 10,000 babies. I am a Tree Frog.

I dream that my eggs did not get eaten. I try to not get eaten. I hope that I don’t run into another snake. I was once very young. But now I am going to die. I am a Poison Dart Frog.

But now I am a grown-up frog. I am an Awesome Frog.

I say to my eggs that are left “Soon you will climb trees.” I believe that my eggs are tadpoles inside. I dream they will be beautiful. I try to save my ten eggs but I am too late. I hope that the rest of my eggs will not be eaten. I was once in an egg, I was a tadpole, then a froglet. But now I am a beautiful Tree Frog. I am a Tree Frog.

I cry because some of my eggs were eaten by a hungry green vine snake. I understand I am small and I cannot save them. I am a Red Eyed Tree Frog. I say CROAK! CROAK! I believe I will see my babies. I dream about being big. I try to save the rest of my eggs. I hope they will grow up like me. I was once happy! But now I am sad. I am a Red Eyed Tree Frog.

I feel the cool cold drip drops on my back. It makes me feel fabulous. I touch my prey with my speedy tongue. They die. I worry about my babies which are still eggs. I cry because all the eggs got ate by a poisonous snake. I understand because it’s just life. I am a poison tree frog. I say I have to go through it. I believe I can get another mate. I dream that next time my babies won’t die. I try to get over it. I hope my mate will have 10,000 eggs again. I was once happy because I was going to be a parent. But now I am melancholy because that has been delayed. I am a poison tree frog.

I worry if I will die soon. I cry when my mate was killed. I understand because she made the cobra mad. I am a strawberry poison dart frog. I say I am sorry to the cobra. I believe he will take my apology. I dream the snake is my friend. I hope he says yes. I was once the snakes prey. But now I am his friend. I am a strawberry poison dart frog.
