  1. La Fattoria is a Tuscan smallholding with over six hundred olive trees, apples, pears, plums, peaches, walnuts, cherries, grapes, all set on a terraced hillside, literally overlooking the rooftops of the town of Pescia.

  2. The enterprise is managed by a family including Sue, Chris and their two sons, Henry and Erik.

  3. In return for volunteer help,hosts offer food, accommodation and opportunities to learn about organic lifestyles.

  4. Type of work: Help with computers,Help in the house,Farming,General Maintenance,Cooking, Shopping,Building,Gardening. Work:Start at 8am-10amcoffee or whatever10.20am-1pmsit down for lunch2pm-3pmfinish and do whatever you want!Dinner around 7.30/8pm

  5. All their olive oil, jams, pickles, sundried tomatoes, sauces are produced here using fruits and vegetables all growt into the farm (organic farming). All their own bread, pies, cakes are baked in their farm. All the water is heated in the winter using their wood burning stove (powered by their own wood) that they do all their cooking on and in the summer with the solar water panel.Their water is from their well (purified with a UV system). They have a full solar electricity system and all soaps, shampoos and washing up liquids are eco friendly.
