  3. Paper-less Implementation • Convert paper form into digital formats. • Save space, clean up cabinets • Instant document sharing capability • Ability to control document security • Instant document search capability

  4. Why ImageNow? • Ability to integrate with ISRS • Workflow feature • Easy installation and implementation • Simplicity and ease of use

  5. ImageNow Collaboration Project • Started in 2004 by Minnesota St., Mankato and Normandale Community College • MnSCU System-Wide contract • Server and data is located at MSU • Currently 8 campuses in the project

  7. Collaboration Pros • Shared server - reduce cost by $20,000+ • Ability to share documents among institutions. • Cheaper license cost • No real down time • MSU takes care of server and backup • May use additional features already installed on the server.

  8. Collaboration Cons • Security issue in batch queue – addressed and there’s a fix for it. • Slight problem with ISRS integration – can be fixed with scripts.

  9. ImageNow Screenshots • Application: • Set applet • Choose view, scan, batch, search or workflow. • Batch View: • View current Step and State. • User tracking ability. • More than 20 columns of batch info.

  10. ImageNow Screenshots – Contd’ Link Mode: • ‘Teach’ applet to scrape info from ISRS • Define fields associated with student information • Multiple drawers • Create sub-categories to define document type. • Add annotations to document
