The water cycle, also known as the hydrologic cycle, depicts the continuous movement of water from oceans to the atmosphere and back to the land. This cycle begins with evaporation, where oceans transfer water vapor into the air, which eventually condenses into precipitation, falling as rain or snow on the land. This water then flows underground and in streams before being returned to oceans by rivers, completing the cycle. This natural process is vital for maintaining ecological balance and supporting all forms of life on Earth.
