SoLID Status Update • Main items: • Magnet: Progress on Formal request • Background: • Realistic baffle, background(Zhiwen’s talk) • low energy photon background (Rich’s talk) • EM calorimeter: • Pile-ups from background(Xiaochao’stalk) • Realistic simulation • Impacts on trigger and PID • QAD/Trigger System: • Updated design (Alexandre’s talk) • Simulation/test stand • Light Cherenkov: • Forward angle coverage for SIDIS • Simulation with background • Heavy Cherenkov: Space availability

SoLID Status Update (II) • Progress on p-CDR • Major subsystem, conceptual design mostly complete • Finalize EC full simulation with realistic background • Check, proofreading, iterations in progress • Nearly ready? • Progress in other subsystems: • GEMs readout R&Ds (UVa+) • GEMs- China progress • Tracking • Support structure • New physics ideas: • Di-hadron (Jixie’s talk) • TCS (Zhiwen’s talk) • New detector idea: • Muon detector (Alexandre’s talk)
