  28. Singular Possessive Nouns • Marven’s bed was in the office. • The word Marven’s is a singular possessive noun. The apostrophe and –s at the end show ownership or possession—the bed belongs to Marven.

  29. Singular Possessive Nouns • A possessive noun shows ownership. A singular possessive noun shows that one person, place, or thing has or owns something. Add an apostrophe and the letter s to a singular noun to make it possessive.
