  2. What is adverb? • An adverb is word that can be the only or main word in an adverb phrase. Such us verb, adjective, and another adverb.

  3. form Adverb ending in-ly. • Adverb have a strong connection with adjectives. Adjectives and adverbs are usually based on the same word. Adverbs often have the form of an adjective adding –ly. Adverb ending in –ly are usually adverbs of manner (slowly) and degree (completely,fairly)

  4. There are many adverbs do not end in-ly. Such as: Example: • He run fast (not fastly) • You have to bang the door hard (not hardly) to shutit.

  5. Kinds of adverbs

  6. Adverb of manner Adverbs of manner are used to tell us the way or how something is done and describe the time when something happens. Example: • I can find her address easily. • She finished the exercise quickly.

  7. Adverbs of place. Adverbs of Place tells us the place of action or action occurs/occured/will occur. Example: • She works here. • I live in a little village in solo. Adverbs of place

  8. Adverbs of time • These adverbs tell us about the time of action “when” ,what time, or what day. Such as tomorrow, today, yesterday, now, then, never, soon, already, ago, formerly, lately etc. • Examples: • You will buy a computer tomorrow. • He is working now. • She will finish her work soon.

  9. Adverbs of frequency • Adverbs of Frequency explains “how often” something happens. Example: • He never comes late. • She usually goes shopping on Sunday. • Sometimes I watch football on TV.
