Remember our customer? • They are foodies • They want to support local • They are responsible shoppers • They want value for money • Anyone might be one of our customers – across the range • Our products are luxury items (not staples) but might be purchased for a gift • They appreciate presentation • They are into quality and taste • They might be tourists or locals • They might want low cost produce or a higher price niche product

  3. What’s our name? • Memorable – but easy to spell • Needs a visual element (what do you see when you read the name) • Has a positive connotation • Includes information about what the business does • Is fairly short • You can register it or apply a trade mark see www.business.gov.au

  4. Why brand? • Creates customer loyalty • Brand equity (you can charge more $) • Perceived quality • Emotional Attachment • Reflects your mission / values • Can be integrated in all aspects of business • Creates consistency (colour, font)

Some tips… • Use the internet to research ideas • Keep it simple (imagine the logo blown up on the side of your future commercial premises) • Market research your logo before settling on it • Create templates to make it easy • save one called ‘master’ and create a copy each time you use it • Spell check is your friend…
