  4. Human&Physical Features Did you know that the average life expectancy in Malawi is 43.8 years? In addition, there are many other interesting things about people in Malawi’s lives compared to the U.S. For instance, Malawi’s population is 13,226,000 while the U.S. has 299,846,000. Also, the birth rate in Malawi is 40.7, while the U.S.’s birth rate is 14. The infant mortality is 89.4 in Malawi and 6.3 in the U.S. There are only 2 doctors for every 1000 people in Malawi while the U.S. has 256 doctors for every 1000 people. Their literacy rate is 64% while the U.S.’s is 86%. the U.S. has 789 passenger cars for every 1000 people while Malawi has only 7 per every 1000 people. As you can see, Malawi citizens live a hard life and their country is way behind the U.S.

  5. Flag First of all, Malawi has a really interesting flag due to the cool meanings and awesome features. The Malawian flag has a green stripe on the bottom, a red stripe in the middle, a black stripe on the top, and a red sun in the middle of the black stripe. The green stands for nature. The red stands for the blood shed in the struggle for freedom. Furthermore, the black stands for the native people. The red sun stands for the hope of freedom. In conclusion, Malawi’s flag is very interesting and has had a lot of meanings since it was adopted on July 6, 1991.

  7. Religion Did you know that 82.6% of Malawi practices Christianity? In addition, 17.4% practices Islam. Christianity was founded by Jesus Christ in 30 A.D. Two billion people practice it today. Also, the after life is eternal heaven or hell. The sacred text for Christianity is the Bible. Islam has 1.3 billion people practicing it. The after life is paradise or hell and the sacred text is the Quran. In conclusion, Malawi’s religions are practiced by a lot of people around the world.

  9. Animals, Plants, &NaturalResources To begin with, Malawi has a lot of unique and interesting animals, plants, and natural resources. One animal in malawi is the hyrax. It is a small, thick herbivore. They typically measure between 30 and 70 cm. Another animal is the angola columbus. It has adopted to swing on tree and it weighs from 9-20kg. There are also many interesting plants. For example, the cichlid ranges from all different sizes and are really important fish food. Maize is also an interesting plant due to having large grains that are edible. In conclusion, Malawi’s wildlife is cool and diverse.
