Solving Percentage Problems: Finding 30% of a Number

In this problem, we start with the information that 80% of a number (N) equals 256. To find (N), we divide 256 by 0.8, resulting in (N = 320). Next, to find 30% of (N), we multiply (N) by 0.3. Therefore, (0.3 times 320 = 96). The final answer is 96, which represents 30% of the original number. If you have any questions about this problem-solving process or the calculations involved, feel free to ask!

  2. Problem • #2. If 80% of a number N is 256, what is 30% of N?

  3. Step 1 • 256/.8= 320 • I did that because 80% of N is 256 so to find N you need to do the opposite

  4. Step 2 • Now knowing what N equals (302), I did N*.3= 96 • I did that because in the problem it says that you need to find 30% of N so therefore you have to multiply N by .3 which is equivalent to 30%

  5. MY Final Answer is: 96
