  2. Gangrene: • It’s a necrosis with putrefaction, massive necrosis “ large tissue or whole organ. • It has 3 types: • 1- Dry or senile. • 2- Moist. • 3- Infective or Gas gangrene.

  3. 1- Dry gangrene “Gross”:

  4. Healing: • Replacement of damaged tissue by new, healthy, living tissue. • Either by: 1- Regeneration mechanism or 2- Scaring “fibrosis”, Organization. Regeneration is the replacement of tissue by same type of cells. Organization is the replacement of tissue by Granulation tissue.
