  2. Pengertian Parameter Genetik Besaran yang menggambarkan kondisi genetik organisme, sehingga dapat dipredisksikan dalam nilai tertentu. ? parameter genetik

Parameter genetik untuk karakteristik tertentu dapat diukur dan diprediksikan besarnya. • Sangat terkait dengan seleksi untuk meningkatkan mutu genetik ternak. • Paling banyak diterapkan untuk sifat kuantitatif. • Jika diterapkan pada sifat kualitatif, maka perlu SCORING, yaitu : dari data kualitatif dikuantitatifkan. • Pendugaan parameter genetik mutlak diperlukan untuk melakukan seleksi. Tanpa parameter gentik, kita tidak dapat melakukan seleksi dengan baik.
