This document outlines the evolution and current status of the BGP Data Plane Benchmarking draft. Initially presented at IETF80, it has undergone extensive reviews and received valuable feedback from numerous stakeholders including operators, service providers, and the IDR Chair. The draft successfully completed the Working Group Last Call after IETF89, incorporating comments from various reviewers. A new version (draft-ietf-bmwg-bgp-basic-convergence-02) has been released that addresses the WG's feedback. The authors include Rajiv Papneja, Bhavani Parise, Sue Hares, Dean Lee, and Ilya Varlashkin.

Presented and solicited feedback from IDR at IETF-83 • Performed Benchmarking tests based on the methodology from the draft and Presented the Results to BMWG and also at MPLS Ethernet World Conference
BMWG@IETF90 Current Status • Went into WG LC after IETF89 • Multiple reviewers provided comments & feedback during the LC process.
