In 2004… • Beside the 2nd edition of National Contest of Mathematics “ARHIMEDE” which develops in 2 stages, it take places also the 1st edition of National Symposium “ARHIMEDE” which has the next sections : • ALGEBRA • GEOMETRY • MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS • METHODES OF TEACHING MATHEMATICS Where attend teachers, professors students and scientific researchers. With over 60 scientific communications .

  8. In 2005 the “ARHIMEDE” activities take scope and it will reach the number of 3000 attendances to the contest and over 100 scientific communications .

  10. Also in 2005 the magazine begins to be internationally known and so there will be published articles in English.

Also in this year the “ARHIMEDE ASSOCIATION” is established and assumes in an unitary form the co-ordination and the organization of the “National Arhimede Contest” and of the “National Symposium Arhimede” activities. • at the same time a collaboration between the Arhimede Association and the ministry of education and research is established and is materialized by an Official Protocol.

  14. The “ARHIMEDE” book appears • WHICH INCLUDES A RETROSPECTIVE OF THE “ARHIMEDE”ACTIVITIES BETWEEN 2000-2006, BUT ALSO ASPECTS FROM THE LIFE OF THE GREATEST GREEK MATEMATICIAN ARCHIMEDES.

  16. The National “ARHIMEDE” Symposium transforms in “International ARHIMEDE Symposium of Pure and Applied Mathematics” in which attend Spain, Moldavian Republic, United States of America and Romania.

  17. The national “ARHIMEDE” contest … • that carries on 3 stages from which the last two finsh with an awarding in a festive background….

In which attend Spain, Serbia, Moldavian Republic (with the representative teams )and Romania (with the teams chosen trough a special test taken by the attendants of the National ARHIMEDE Contest.) • The contest is for the juniors and seniors teams • And which is developed in IMO system (during 7 days with fixed schedule ) with 2 tests of 3 problems each of them in 2 different days.

Beside all of these events which were presented so far, we also mention that associated teams of Romania attended IMAC at juniors and seniors, but also at the primary cycle. • The “ARHIMEDE” Association also supported a number of math lessons for preparing the students between 3 to 12 levels, during 2007 year.
