East Bay Regional Parks Update • PHASE 1 – Site Prep/Construction of Pier • July 2005 • PHASE 2 – Utilities, Road, Landscaping, Parking, Restrooms, Trail Extension • Fall 2006 • PHASE 3 – Master Plan for “the Delta Science Experience” including exhibits, displays, kayak launch, picnic areas, 3000sf building, plaza, shade structure • Fall 2008 The Delta Science Center at Big Break

  6. OWL HABITAT The old water tower was unstable and had to be removed. The owls that were using it as their home were relocated to owl houses around the property. The owls have discovered their new homes and are continuing to nest on the property. The Delta Science Center at Big Break

  7. CLEANUP Old decaying barges were removed from the property. This barge, which is not on the DSC property, remains as a reminder of the past. The Delta Science Center at Big Break

  8. PHASE 1 Phase 1 – the Pier is complete. The access road and parking area will be constructed next. The Delta Science Center at Big Break
