  2. Philippians 3:18-19 (NKJV) 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame— who set their mind on earthly things. Concentration, dedication, giving something your full attention

  3. Philippians 3:18-19 (NKJV) You're investing in the inferior 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame— who set their mind on earthly things.

  4. You're investing in the inferior • Matthew 16:26 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? • Matthew 6:33 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

  5. You're investing in the inferior • Matthew 25:46 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

  6. Philippians 3:18-19 (NKJV) You're following the flesh 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame— who set their mind on earthly things.

  7. You're following the flesh • Romans 8:5 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. • 2 Timothy 3:4 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

  8. You're following the flesh • Titus 3:3 3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another • 1 Timothy 6:9-10 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

  9. You're following the flesh • Luke 12:19 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’ • Luke 12:20 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’

  10. Philippians 3:18-19 (NKJV) You're trusting in the temporary 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame— who set their mind on earthly things.

  11. You're trusting in the temporary • Matthew 6:19 19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; • 1 Timothy 6:7 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

  12. You're trusting in the temporary • Hebrews 11:25-26 25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.

  13. Philippians 3:18-19 (NKJV) In Conflict With The Cross 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame— who set their mind on earthly things.

  14. In Conflict With The Cross • Matthew 22:37-38 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. • Matthew 6:24 24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon

  15. In Conflict With The Cross • James 4:4 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. • Ephesians 2:12 12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

  16. IF YOU Set Your Mind On Earthly Things…. • You ARE investing in the inferior • You ARE following the flesh • You ARE trusting in the temporary • You ARE in conflict with the Cross
