How the ACA will affect student health services Behavioral Intervention Evidence Based Practice Substance Use/Abuse Intervention Medical clearance and immunizations are always a hot topic. Getting messages across to students, or getting their attention. How do we communicate to help them follow instructions correctly? They seem to have shorter attention spans all the time. whooping cough/pertussis vaccines are common among soon to be family members. Parents are asking everyone to be updated. Transgender STI screening Outreach Health Nurse Triage Bystander actions. Transgender students requesting hormone replacement/treatment. invader threats and keeping everyone safe increase in stis and risk-taking behaviors synthetic drugs vaping Hazard mitigation planning alcohol education sexual and relationship violence reduced operating budgets difficulty recruiting nurses and support staff due to low salaries privatization and outsourcing PHQ in primary care for improved identification of depression in students transgender changes every week Case management Increasing numbers of students with Chlamydia! heroine, designer drugs education, travel medicine, international students, meeting the needs of "alternative students" such as commuters, transfers Assessing Learning OUtcomes Self directed STI Testing The "SWAB IT" campaign to test the right body parts for STIS (Our last 4 gonnorheas were all from throat cultures).
