The Guest Speaker for the day was Mr. Sudharsan Santhanam, Chartered Accountant, VCS Advisory Pvt Ltd. Students from I and II year B.Com CS and M.Com were present for the lecture.

ALPHA ARTSANDSCIENCECOLLEGE Guest Lecture on Usefulness of Audit in the Prevention and Detection of Fraud The Department of B.Com (CS) & PG Commerce organised a constructive Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Usefulness of Audit in the Prevention and Detection of Fraud’ on 19th September 2018. The Guest Speaker for the day was Mr. Sudharsan Santhanam, Chartered Accountant, VCS Advisory Pvt Ltd. Students from I and II year B.Com CS and M.Com were present for the lecture. Mr. Sudharsan gave a magnificent talk on Auditing and fraud. He threw highlights on various scams that have shaken the Indian economy and why such scams occur. He also emphasized on the importance of Internal Control system in companies whereby frauds can be prevented and detected. He shared his own experiences regarding detection of frauds. He had a very good interactive session with our students. He also spoke about various career opportunities available for commerce students like CA, CMA, ACCA, CS, CPA, CFA etc. It was really a gearing up session for students of PG Commerce and B.Com CS.
