  3. Events Subcommittee Phase 1: Sept 29 participation in Hartford Parks Ride Oct 6 participation in Park Street Parade Phase 2: May 2013: First Annual West Hartford Bikefest May 13-17, 2013 West Hartford Bike Week May 17, 2013 Bike to Work Day

  4. Technology, Website & Publications Subcommittee Phase 1: Launch Website Maintain Facebook Page Bike West Hartford brochure Wall map of bicycle routes and bike rack locations Phase 2: Bike West Hartford brochure Wall map of bicycle routes and bike rack locations

Community & Advocacy Subcommittee Phase 2: Rejuvenate existing Bicycle Registration Program Develop and implement bicycle rack program Mark major bicycle corridors with signs and striping Accommodation of bicyclists at traffic signals Enforce laws and regulations Elaborate Bicycle Advisory Committee Strategic Plan Explore possible bike share program Elaborate Bicycle Advisory Committee Strategic Plan and present to Town Council

  6. W.H. Public School & University Subcommittee Phase 1: • Engage W.H. Schools & local universities in Phase 1 & 2 activities • Plan other joint activities with Subcommittee Phase 2: Develop bike route linking WH universities to WH Center May 2013: First Annual West Hartford Bikefest: • Bike to School advocacy & education programs May 8, 2013: Bike to School Day

Regional Coordination Subcommittee Phase 1: Meet with East Coast Greenways Meet with Farmington Valley Trails Council, Bike Walk CT and Simsbury, Hartford & Bloomfield biking initiatives Meet with League of American Bicyclists Phase 2: Establish collaboration plan with Greenways Collaborate with Simsbury biking initiative Engage with League of American Bicyclists
