  1. What is Scrip? A year-around fund raising program Provides funds for the school Reduces tuition payments for individual families

A family can reduce one child’s tuition by more than 10% just by spending money they already spend: • If you spend $100 a week at Wal-Mart • And $100 a week at Fareway • And $50 a week at Casey’s • You can earn $137.50 toward your family’s tuition bill • Credits would reduce your 2011-12 tuition from $1125 to $987.50, a 12% decrease

  3. 2011 Distributions • 23 Sacred Heart Families had their 2011-12 tuition reduced: • Top 5 Amounts • $366.15 • $352.25 • $249.65 • $235.85 • $171.54 • 23 Sacred Heart Families had their 2011-12 CCD fees reduced: • Top 5 Amounts • $152.85 • $133.53 • $91.58 • $34.24 • $32.20

  4. 2011 Distributions • Tuition Assistance Fund • Funded by Scrip customers who don’t give credits to specific families • Intended to assist families having trouble paying tuition • School Contributions • $8000

  5. How does Scrip work? $95 to merchant $2.50 to Scrip Program (operations & school contributions) Gift Card $100 Generous Merchant $2.50 in tuition credits to buyer Credits = ½ of discount $100 in goods or services to buyer

  7. How do I get started? • Fill out an enrollment form • Fill out an order form • Turn in at Scrip table at back of church to be filled • Mondays 8 am to 10 am • Wednesdays 11 am to 1 pm • Thursdays before and after Mass • Saturdays before and after Mass • Sundays after Mass

  8. For your convenience • Send your order and payment to school with your student on Monday or Wednesday. We will fill it and send it back the same day. • Sign up with . Print out your order. • Sign up for PrestoPay and have your payment automatically deducted from your checking account (39¢ convenience fee).
