Member Points Opportunities • 4 points • Participating in book collection for an entire semester • 2 points • Attending a general meeting • 1 point • Attending a social event • Doing one hour of service through Golden Key • Doing five hours of service outside Golden Key • Bringing in five items for collection events such as can goods or care package items • Donating one textbook • Donating five non-textbooks

Service Opportunities • Oct. 27: “Make a Difference Day” women’s build with Habitat for Humanity • Possible other small activity due to make-up day • Nov. 5 – 10: Homecoming Canapalooza • Nov. 16: Boys & Girls Club Thanksgiving Event • Please start bringing in cans for Canapalooza and books for the book drive!*

  4. Scholarships • $250 chapter scholarship will be given out at the end of the semester • Deadline to apply is Wednesday, November 14th by noon • Scholarship application will be posted online • Over $600,000 worth of scholarships available through head quarters! • Visit www.GoldenKey.org for more information.

  5. Regional Summit • When: March 1-3, 2013 • Where: University of Texas at San Marcos • Why: Great opportunity for networking and building leadership skills!

  6. Upcoming meetings • 3rd General Meeting – Thursday, October 18 • Internships • 4th General Meeting – Monday, November 12 • Professional Etiquette (most likely) *All meetings will be held at 6:00 PM in 241 Himes Hall unless further notice is given.
