The kick-off meeting held in Athens on March 3-4, 2011, featured Prof. Alexander Ilyinsky, the National Coordinator, discussing pivotal research on climate policy in Russia. The main activities included comprehensive research involving students and staff from the Financial University, alongside stakeholder engagement with governmental agencies. Emphasis was placed on ongoing monitoring of legislation and publications, development of mitigation/adaptation policy portfolios, and robust information sharing through various publications and platforms, enhancing knowledge transfer via workshops and conferences.

Knowledge transfer- conferences and other events • Organizing conferences at Financial University, partner universities, relevant institutions • Participation in conferences in Russia and abroad (Greece; China; the Project partner countries - Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine) - 9 -

Knowledge transfer- conferences and other events (participation and organizing) • Organizing workshops and regular seminars for IFF students, including students’ presentations, sharing the results of research, monitoring current events, inviting guest speakers from relevant institutions, etc • Organizing trainings and summer schools (with certificates for participants who successfully complete the course) - 10 -
