Understanding PTSD: Impact, Treatment, and Support for Veterans
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a serious mental health condition resulting from traumatic experiences, such as war, sexual assault, and severe accidents. Symptoms include flashbacks, insomnia, and anxiety. While there is no cure for PTSD, effective treatments such as cognitive therapy and group therapy can help manage symptoms. Our project, "Friends For Heroes," aims to support veterans by raising funds for service dogs and volunteering at the VA. Despite challenges, we raised $325 and strive to continue helping veterans find hope and healing.
