  2. What is 16mm film? • 16mm is the width of the film used. • 16 mm film refers to a popular, economical gauge of film used for motion pictures and non-theatrical (for instance, industrial or educational) film making.

  3. Films shot with 16mm • Some of my favourite films were shot with 16mm film. Here is a list of some of them. • City of God (2002 film) • Jackass: The Movie • Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels • 28 Weeks Later • Black Dynamite • Black Swan (film) • The Hurt Locker • The Wrestler (2008 film)

  4. History of 16mm • 16 mm film was introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1923 as an inexpensive amateur alternative to the conventional 35 mm film format. During the 1920s the format was often referred to as sub-standard film by the professional industry.

  5. How do 16mm cameras work? • They work the same way a normal camera works. Because the shitter lets light through and it exposes short burst of light onto the film which captures what you see through the view finder.

  7. How do you edit the film? To edit 16mm film. • You first put you’re film onto a Steenbeck editing machine • You then load you’re film onto the machine. • Watch the footage you have shot through the steenbeck

  10. My opinion on the difference between digital and film • Film and digital capture are completely different media. They are used for similar purposes. • There are both advantages and disadvantages of using digital and film. • Processing film is very costly on the other hand digital is reasonably cheap to shoot are large amount of footage with. • With film there are lots of different things that can go wrong but if you are experienced you will get better results with film hen digital.
