This report details an experiment conducted among 30 students at Itäkeskus High School to investigate teenage drinking habits. We surveyed 15 boys and 15 girls aged 16-19, forming hypotheses that boys drink more than girls and that teenagers drink for fun and due to peer influence. The results contradicted our initial hypothesis regarding gender, revealing that girls actually drink more than boys. However, our theory about drinking motivations was confirmed, as many teens reported drinking primarily for fun and because their friends do.
