On April 28th, Grade 3 and 4 students visited Sovereign Hill, immersing themselves in gold rush history. The day began with recess followed by a visit to an olden day school where a charming lady teacher guided them in a traditional setting. Excitement peaked during gold panning when one lucky student discovered a piece of gold! After a delightful lunch under a shady tree by the lake, the kids marveled at gold smelting, witnessing the process firsthand. The adventure concluded with a sweet treat at the lolly shop—a perfect ending to a memorable day.
