On April 28, 2010, grades 3A, 3B, 4A, and 4B embarked on an exciting excursion to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. I enjoyed the bus ride with my friend Aimee, and we began our adventure by watching a man melt gold—a fascinating experience. Highlights included Chloe B. holding gold, exploring the Battery House, and visiting the Gold Shop where I got to touch gold. I spent my $5 at the Lolly Shop, tried my luck at gold panning, and experienced writing with ink at the Olden Day School. The day concluded with a memorable bus trip home!
