  1. BIRTH • Born in 9/20/1911 Ambalkheda to Pandit Roopkishore Sharma and Dankunwari Devi within a wealthy Brahmin family • Young Shriram learned teachings from The Bhagavad Gita and Sanskrit by accompanying his father to the discourses

  2. UPNAYAM BY MAHAMAN MALVIYAJI • Yagyopaveet (Thread) ceremony and initiation in Gayatri mantra by Mahamana Malviyaji in Banaras at the age of ten.

  3. SERVING OF CHAPKO • Extreme love and sympathy for depressed, down-trodden and the untouchables. Attended, nursed and served an old ailing Harijan woman despite opposition by family members and the high society he belonged to.

  4. FIRST MEETING WITH DADA GURU • At the age of 15- Self-realization on BasantPanchanmiParva 1926 at Ambalkheda with darshan and guidance from Swami Sarveshwaranandaji, an ageless yogi living in Himalayas in subtle body. Spiritual master bestowed knowledge about past births and explained the purpose behind this birth. The past three births were the following: • Kabir • Samarth Guru Ramdas • Paramhans Ram Krishna

  5. FIRST MEETING WITH DADA GURU DIRECTIONS GIVEN: • Perform 24 Purashcharnas (2.4 million chants of Gayatri Mantra) to acquire intense spiritual power. Barley bread and cow’s butter-milk to be the only diet. • Keep Akhand-Deep (a lamp) constantly lighted • Undertake journeys to Himalayas • Translate religious and spiritual scriptures written in Sanskrit into Hindi and other languages to make available to masses of people. • Fight for India's Independence

INDEPENDENCE STRUGGLE • Known as SHRIRAM MATTA • Active participation in Freedom Fight on Mahatma Gandhi’s call. • Joined Indian National Congress volunteers camp despite strong opposition of family members and relatives. • Sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for six months six times during struggle for independence. • His love for India was such that a piece of the National Flag remained clung tightly between his teeth despite beaten unconscious when brutally man-handled by British police during Jail Satyagraha in Agra Disctrict. • Since then people on account of his intense national love started calling him Shriram ‘Matta’. • Remained confined in Asansol Jail along with Mahamana Malviyaji, Swarooprani Nehru, Devdas Gandhi, Rafi Ahmad Kidwai etc. in connection with freedom movement. • Learned how to read English through newspaper called "THE LEADER" and taught inmates Sanskrit.

  8. MOVE TO MATHURA • Purchased a haunted house after selling ancestral property for 15 rupees. Compromised with ghosts in the house to stay on top floor and to leave ground floor vacant. • First publication of Akhand Jyoti in 1937 • Married Mata Bhagvatidevi Sharma in 1944 • Akhand-Deep lighting and establishment of Gayatri Tapobhumin in 1953 • 1008 Sahastra Kundi Yagya in 958 • 2.4 million ahutis

SHANTIKUNJ • Third Voyage to Himalyas • Meeting with Rishis in Himalayas Directions Given: • Revive traditional Rishi Traditions • Establishment of Shantikunj in Sapt-Sarovar Hardwar in 1971 and commencement of RishiParampara in present era. • Establishment of Brahmavarchas Research Institut • Translation of 4 vedas, 108 upnishad, 18 puranas, 20 smirits • 1979. A well equipped laboratory to conduct experiments for coordination of science with spirituality. • Establishment of 2400 PragyaSansthans (Shakti-peeths), the public awakening centres. Extensive countrywide tours of AcharyaShri in 1981-82.

RISHI TRADITIONS • VISHVAMITRA RISHI: To acquaint people with the power of Gayatri Mahamantra • VYAS RISHI: To write books and eighteen volumes of Pragya Puran • PATANJALI RISHI: To extend the science and philosophy of yog-sadhana • PARSHURAM RISHI: To build up an atmosphere of refined and ennobling vibrations by eradicating evil tendencies from the minds of the people • CHARAK RISHI: To conduct scientific research and popularize use of medicinal herbs according • YAGYAVALKYA RISHI: To heal and set right mental disorders by holistic treatments of yagyopathy • JAMADAGNI RISHI: To establish Sadhana-Aranyaks for promoting the growth of goodness and character building

RISHI TRADITIONS • NARADA RISHI: To lead wandering life of a religious mendicant (parivrajak) with the aim of imparting true knowledge and guidance for the spread of religious and spiritual consciousness • ARYABHATTA RISHI: To provide guidance through the medium of ethics to the administrative set-up • SHANKARACHARYA RISHI: To build up Pragya sansthans at different places • PIPPALADA RISHI: To promote all-round health with the help of proper dieting • SOOT-SHOUNIK RISHI: To convene Pragya sammelans from place to place for educating the masses • Dada Guru also indicated the outline of establishing  Brahmavarchas Research Institute for conducting research on scientific lines according to the scientific traditions of Atharv Veda, as was done by Kanada Rishi.

PRAKHAR PRAGYA & SAJAL SHRADDHA • Prakhar Pragya and Sajal Shraddha, two temples made up of marble contain the Charan Peeths (foot impressions) of Param Poojya Gurudev Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya and Vandneeyaa Mata Bhagawati Devi Sharma. These are the monumental source of inspiration for self enlightenment and fulfillment of cherished desires. • Just in front of these tiny temples, are the sacred tombs of the departed Rishiyugm made of sparkling granite stone, which draw enormous reverence from the people and are fully charged with celestial life consciousness.
