  5. Final Semester • Maintain connections with mentors, friends, etc. • Set up LinkedIn account • Attend as many events as possible • Maintain activities and professional organizations • Connect with references

  6. Before the First Day • Meet with you new boss or teammates • Learn about your new employer • See if anyone in your network knows future co-workers • Plan more conservative outfits for the beginning • Plan your travel route

  7. First Day on The Job • Take notes • If you don’t know, ask • Listen • Get on the same page • Arrive early • Remember names and plan your introduction • Be positive • Don’t bolt at the end of the day

  8. TCC 101 • Mock Interviews • Career counseling and drop-ins • Employer information sessions and career fairs • Start preparing for your future job now even if you don’t know what you want to do
