  8. Paying your 2013 dues keep SHPA strong! 2013 Dues Reminder Letters will go out August 20, 2013. Please support SHPA and the work we do by paying your membership dues!

  9. Changing our Dues Schedule • SHPA is changing with the times. Beginning this year SHPA sent out our dues request in February to coincide with our fiscal year. • This year we will send out the 2014 Dues Letters in the late fall with invoices going out at the beginning of the year. • We our asking ALL of our members to get on board with this change.

  10. Non Payment of Dues Policy Change This committee has worked to outline an update to the non-payment of dues policy. The changes are to make dues payable or arrangements to pay within 30 days of receipt by the member organization of notice that membership is due for renewal (used to be 90 days) AND an organization’s status as member shall terminate if the organization fails to make payment or arrangement for payment of membership dues within the specified twelve month period.

  11. Member Benefit Policy Development The Governance Committee has developed a Member Benefit Policy. Eileen Higgins, Chair of this Committee, will be taking it to the next Executive Committee Meeting for consideration and approval. We hope to report on it’s implementation during the Annual Meeting in November.

  12. Membership Campaign The next project this committee will be working on is a membership campaign. We need your help in encouraging your peers! The campaign will consist of 2 phases: • Project Return to SHPA - Reaching out to former members. • Project Open Doors- Reaching out to agencies that should be members.
