  6. PLTW – Gateway to Technology • Began in 1998 in 12 high schools in upstate New York as a program designed to address the shortage of engineering students at the college level. • It has grown to a network of more than 3,300 middle and high schools in 50 states and the District of Colombia. • In 2007, PLTW added a Biomedical Sciences program, also project-based, to address an impeding shortage of healthcare professionals and researchers.

Bring a pencil, eraser, pen, and Minder Binder to class everyday. • Strive to do your best! • Attitude over ability - we choose our attitude and a positive attitude can at times make up for our ability.
