  3. Wed., Sept. 21, 2011 • Come in quietly, find your seat, and be seated. We will give the classes about 2 minutes to settle down and then we will begin our survey. • Below are the questions that you should be asking this morning for your survey? • How many liked all 3? • How many liked none? • How many liked CA & FF? • How many liked T3 and FF? • How many liked T3 and CA? • How many liked Fast Five? • How many liked Captain America? • How many liked Transformers 3? Don’t forget to get the number of your Universe!

You will have 10 minutes after the tardy bell rings to complete. • Bathroom break will be taken after Starter time. • The Dean of Academic Services surveyed a group of students about which support services they were using to help them improve their academic performance and found the following results: • Draw a 3 set Venn diagram • 5 using office hours, tutoring & online studying • 16 office hours and tutoring • 28 tutoring • 14 tutoring and online study groups • 8 office hours & online studying, but not tutoring • 23 office hours, but not tutoring • 18 online study groups only • 37 none of these • How many were surveyed? • How many were office hours only? • How many were using online study groups.

The following information was obtained: • Draw a Venn Diagram • 16 use the gym, pool, and weight room. • 29 use both gym and pool. • 23 use both the gym and weight room. • 40 use the gym. • 68 use either the gym or pool. • 14 use only the pool. • 18 use none of the three facilities. • How many use the pool? • How many use only the weight room?
