  2. Names President Inter-Club Council President/Vice-President Secretary Treasurer

  3. Eligibility President and Inter-Club Council President should be a rising senior. Secretary and Treasurer should be either a junior or senior. All Executive Board officers must have a 2.5 GPA, and must be in good standing with the PHS administration. Officers shall not be eligible for other major positions of other organizations. All students elected to Executive Board and Class Councils should take the Leadership Class.

  4. Duties President The President should preside at all meetings of the SCA and the Executive Board. They should ensure that parliamentary procedure is followed and should serve as host/hostess of the school and represent eh student body as an official student spokesperson/representative.

  5. Duties Inter-Club Council/SCA Vice-President Erich Jegier The VP should do all the duties of the President in the absence or disability of that officer, to serve as Inter-club President, and to help the President with his/her duties.

  6. Duties Secretary The Secretary should check the roll at all SCA meetings, and to publish these records for the viewing of the PHS staff, administration, and Student Body. The Secretary should serve as chairperson of the Scrapbook Committee, and keep any materials needed for this task

  7. Duties Treasurer Margaret Shelton The Treasurer should keep an accurate account of receipts and disbursements, to sign all financial request forms, and to give an up-to-date Treasurer’s Reports as needed to the SCA.

  8. Section 2: Standing Committees Purpose: To carry out the activities and business of the SCA and Student Body Membership: SCA EB, Class Councils, and Leadership Class members. Additional members of each Standing Committee who aren’t members of the SCA may be appointed from the student body by committee chairpersons with the approval of the SCA EB and advisor. Class Officers: Class Council officers and advisors shall have the power to select, appoint, or elect Class Council Boards in a manner specific to the constitution or traditions of the respected class. The process of said board members must be on file with the SCA and the principal. Chairpersons of Standing Committees: Each EB member will hold one chair position except the President and VP. The VP will serve as the Inter-Club Council chairperson and the President shall serve as the official chairperson for the Student Council EB. Class council presidents shall serve as chairpersons for the Class Council Committees.

  9. Section 3 Rules, regulations, and plans: the SCA shall have the power to make rules and regulations and to plan activities for the Student Body, subject to the approval of the principal. Probation and/or Impeachment: Any member of the SCA failing to comply with the eligibility, duty, or meeting requirements shall be subject to probation, the length determined by the EB President, Vice-President, and SCA Advisor. If the probation is not cleared within the given range of time the SCA shall call for impeachment. The SCA shall have the power to bring impeachment charges against any member by a simple majority vote. Such proceedings must be placed in writing and brought to the principal and will act as an official recommendation by the SCA to the principal. The principal will then have the final judgment as whether or not to impeach that member. **If a member is in violations of CMS disciplinary guideline that results in OSS and/or expulsion, the member will automatically be removed from his or her student government position.

  10. Section 4: Meetings The SCA shall meet monthly out of class. All EB meetings are open t0 the entire SCA.

  11. Section 5: Advisor The SCA shall work in committee and make recommendations to the Principal as to the selection/appointment of an advisor. The actual naming of the advisor is within the powers of the principal. This person shall also serve the position as Leadership Class instructor if such a class is offered in the school curriculum.
