  2. Park ranger Average annual salary: $22,203 Patrolling state or national parks, park rangers help enforce regulations and keep visitors using the area in an orderly manner. Park rangers are in charge of anything from littering to helping facilitate parking permits so work duties differ each day. Fish and game warden Average annual salary: $56,567 Patrolling natural areas like lakes, rivers and wetlands, fish and game wardens spend a larger part of their day making sure state and local hunting and fishing codes are being enforced. Most of the workday is spent outside so the wardens have a substantial amount of time to connect with their natural surroundings.

Biologists work with state and federal agencies to facilitate an understanding of wild animals and their habitats. Wildlife biologists have some of the most important roles in preserving endangered animals.

You must be a citizen of the united states to apply or you can be from out of the united states but must file for citizen ship. There is a drug test for all park ranger jobs including peace makers. STATE PARK RANGERKnowledge of: All of the above, and principles and practices involved in operating, interpreting, and protecting State park districts; purposes, organization, policies, procedures, and rules of the Department of Parks and Recreation; methods and materials used in preparing and interpreting historical and natural science displays and exhibits; techniques and procedures used in law enforcement; methods of conducting search and rescue; advanced emergency first-aid procedures; first aid and rescue equipment use and maintenance; principles of forest fire, disease, and insect damage control. Ability to: All of the above, and plan, organize, and direct the work of others; carry out programs in accordance with plans and specifications; establish and maintain cooperative relations with public groups and organizations; lead and train seasonal staff.
